Dan and his crew from Dan’s Carpentry are the best contractors and carpenters I have contracted with to do construction on my house. I wish I would have contracted with him to do my kitchen, but instead I got lucky to have him build a deck off the back of my house. He and his crew tore down my old deck and built a new Azek deck with a covered screened in area and a privacy screen to give us some privacy from the street that goes by the side of my house in Worcester off of Salisbury St. I found him on the Azek website where he has a Platinum rating as one of the highest rated Azek deck builders and he deserves it. He helped to bring my vision of a backyard oasis to life. He worked with me to design it. He made suggestions I never would have thought of which overall improved the project beyond our imagination. Not only did he come in with the best quote, but he had the best overall approach and a fresh sense of style using the best and most up to date construction materials and methods. He and his crew were very professional and courteous the entire time. They arrived when they were supposed to and cleaned up when they were done. I would hire Dan and his crew for my next project and recommend him to anybody for their home improvement projects.
Dan has completed 2 projects for us. The first was a deck remodel which is absolutely beautiful! He expanded the footprint, closed in the bottom, added lights on the post and steps and his work is impeccable. We get so many compliments and it is now big enough for our extended family to enjoy with us as well. While discussing the deck plans, I mentioned to Dan that I’d like a privacy fence around the propane tank for our pool. At the end of the project, he made one out of the decking. It’s small details like that which set Dan apart from his competitors. We recently had the pleasure of working with Dan again on a kitchen and bath update. He and his crew were meticulous throughout the whole project. It was amazing how little mess there was when he came in for the demo part. He covered all the doorways so there was virtually no dust in the rest of the house which was much appreciated! I was given an online schedule which was constantly updated throughout the project. My family and I always feel completely comfortable with Dan and his crew in the house. Everyone is friendly and courteous. We will certainly look forward to working with Dan’s Carpentry for future renovations!
Dan Desjardin renovated two full bathrooms and my kitchen. His work, both as a carpenter and as a general contractor, is excellent. He was unbelievably patient, walked me through every step, and stood by my side when I had trouble with the kitchen cabinet supplier. The entire “Dan’s Carpentry” crew were a pleasure to have working in my home. They were respectful of our schedules and kept the place amazingly clean while knocking down walls, sanding floors, and installing sheet rock. He kept me apprised of schedule changes – I never had someone show up unexpected or not show up as planned. He treated my home like it was his own. It has been two years since he completed my last project and I have not had one issue with any of the work he completed. When we are ready to remodel the basement, we will be calling Dan.
We purchased a newer home in 2017 and needed to have the basement remodeled. We shopped around for price and Dan was the most reasonable. After the work started Dan and his crew were great. We were living in the home while the renovation was being done and they were respectful of our time and space. He kept us up to date on the progress and if there was something we were concerned about the issue was resolved immediately. Eventually we want a new deck put on the back of our house and I have no doubt we’ll be calling Dan for the job.
Dan and his crew are super professional. It was a pleasure to work with Dan (who himself is very talented) in designing our new deck. Since I went up in Summer 2018, it’s quickly become my family’s favorite “room” in our house! There were a couple of speedbumps, just like with any project, but Dan addressed them quickly and efficiently. I would 100% hire Dan again for any project, indoor or outdoor
Dan recently completed adding additional living space for my inlaws onto our exsisting home. Dan was with us every step of the way through design, recommendations, alternative solutions, and ensuring 100% satisfaction with each piece of our build.
